    Tri Transitioning

I am planning on training for a triathlan. I would like some advice on how to transition after swimming. Do you have to wear special shoes while swimming so your feet stay dry? Where do you keep the bike when you get out of the water? any kind of advice would be helpfull... Thanks

hahahaha, sorry, its just funny. No, your feet can get as wet as you want. You just put them in your bike shoes(running shoes if you dont use clipless pedals), and giv'er.
Your bike will be in the transition area. So after you exit the swim, you go to the transition area, and put on your shoes/helmet, what ever else you need. Oh and take off your wetsuit(if you wore one), and grab your bike off the rack, and go. You will come back to the same area after the bike portion is complete. Here again you will rack your bike, take off your helmet, change into running shoes(if you were using clipless pedals/bike shoes). then go run....

I usually train everything separately... I train so i can do more distance than required for the event though.

I usually train seperately usually one session AM and the second PM after work. Except when training a brick session (ride and then run - to get the legs used to running off the bike) say once a week.

Races up to 1/2 IM you can easily race the whole way in speedos, for longer races tri shorts are perfect with a thin chamios which helps on the bike but isn't a hinderance on the other legs. Cycling shorts have a thicker chamios which will soak up water in the swim and also be awkward on the run...

You can swim/run in bike shorts, but even if all you ever do are short races, Tri-specific shorts come highly recommended. Well, i like them because i'm modest/shy like that. No speedo for me.
