I'm sold on the extreme forward position. A guy in our time trials group has what he calls a "nuts off the front" sitting style and he wears out his seat on the nose and his shorts in the same spot.

I've recently been trying out this sitting position and I have three comments:

1. It's uncomfortable and I worry about doing trauma to my perineum
2. It's noticeably more aerodynamic and faster, much moreso than an aero helmet plus 82 mm front wheel
3. It's more powerful with an increase in the area of 15-20 watts

So I really, really want to take care of #1 in order to get #2 and #3. Is there a triathlete seat nose that does your perineum right?

I ride my tri bike similarly. I've used a number of different seats, and I have two general observations. First: it ain't never gonna be as comfortable as the road bike. Secondly, a rounded, blunt nose seems to minimize the (inevitable) discomfort.

I'm currently using this saddle and like it pretty well. I've also used a non-tri saddle with a curved nose.

The Adamo saddle seems to be designed for just such a riding position, but I have no experience with it. Reading this tri saddle review might help you choose.

Take a look at the Selle Italia SLR T1. I heard nothing but good things about it.

I 'm 200 pounds and have come to the conclusion there is no tri bike, and no tri saddle, that will ever be comfortable enough to enjoy riding them. So I 'm selling my tri bike. And buying a light fast road bike for triathlon. I 'm not going to be winning anything anyway. So why suffer so much.

I disagree. A proper fit and proper frame will get you a comfortable position. Period.

I've got this saddle, and can't get rid of it soon enough. The huge padded nose on it is very uncomfortable and pinches on either side of the package.
