    Dilemma '08 P3Carbon or '08 Specialized Transition Pro ?

I am signed up for IM Canada, my wife, Trish and my 11 month old daughter, Reese gave me the go ahead to buy a new bike. Trying to decide which one will get me through the 180 km COMFORTABLY. They are both sweet rides(haven't ridden the Specialized Transition Pro yet, but it looks good). Any feed back would be great, good or bad. Tell me about service, price(Canadian dollars) and overall happiness. Thanks P.S. Thank god for good credit

    Havent ridden either.

I would ask what your current bikes geometry is, and what are you looking to change if anything. If you like the current geometry, get the one that matches the closest. If you dislike it, you need to find a really good pro fit and make your choice off that. As far as the bikes themselves, it's not a dilemma i wouldnt love to have. Both are amazingly sweet and super aero. Get the one that fits the best.

I don't think anything from this thread should dictate what you buy. You're so far in the stratosphere bike wise with these two that assuming you get dialed into a great position on either, you're set.

I'd get an 07 P3C if I got one. The 08' color scheme sucks. Saw a pic over on Slowtwitch from Eurobike. Not good. An ugly mix of silver red and black. The new Specialized looks hot however.
    [nothing clever]

    1. FIT

    3. FIT

Go get a professional fit BEFORE buying a bike and let that dictate what bike you buy. The P3 has a low headtube and is made to be ridden low. A lot of people can really never get comfortable on one.
FS: Fuji SL1 frameset, 55.5cm toptube, excellent condition.
