So I figured I would try this out. Tricatsports series It is local and for a good cause.

I was not to bad at this spot 18 years ago. I use to typically finishing in the top percent overall and 1-3 in my class. Manly sprint tri’s and a half Iron Man every now and then. I am sure the sport is a lot more competitive now. I'll just train hard, do what I can and have fun.

My current log is something like this:

Sun
1300 meter swim
1:10 hr bike trainer
2.5 mile run

Mon
1600 meter swim
1:20 hr bike trainer
2.5 mile run

Tues
1400 meter swim
1:10 hr bike trainer
1 mile run

Wed
1400 meter swim
1:00 hr bike trainer

Thur
4 mile run

Fri
1400 meter swim
1:00 hr bike trainer
2.5 mile run

Sat
1000 meter swim
1:30 hr bike trainer
1 mile run

I just started this regiment two week ago. The distances are increasing and my intensity will too. My swimming really surprised me with how well I was able to have maintained my performance. I guess I’m a natural swimmer. I’ll increase my cycling when the cold weather breaks. My bike rides will be between 35-50 miles x 3-4 a week with a long ride on Sunday 60-100 miles. My running needs the most improvement. I remember the 6 min mile days, that was sweet. I can only train hard and work at it. Right now I am coming off a quad–ham pull from training dogs. Protection dogs to be exact and to fight a 80-100lbs dog on an escape is real hard on the legs. When a dog grabs your arm while you’re running at a sprint, is quite a sudden load on the legs.

So I keep posting.
