Awesome! Good luck.

I recommend getting to registration early the day before in order to get a good T2 spot. Also, make sure to layout your stuff so it will be too much of a pain for someone to move. A lot of the people who show up late just move other people's stuff to make room for theirs.

If you think about it, practice doing some shallow swim strokes. The water near the turnaround buoy is less than 2' deep and you end up dragging your fingers across the rocks.

Last, don't let anyone freak you out about Chalk Hill. It really isn't a big deal.

Have a great race and don't forget to file a race report.

good luck. Hope you get in.

Be prepared for the heat (you already live in vacaville, so you know).

Run has some rolling hills, so be prepared for that. Personally, I had no qualms about walking the uphills when I did the full vineman last year in 90+ degree heat.
