2009 Splash-N-Dash

We did our 200 yard swim and then 2 mile run today. It was fun and we had decent weather for Iowa in the winter.

Met fifthcircle in person today, and we talked about bicycles, triathlons, and learned some things from Ironman triathletes that were there to have a fun event.

Good way to start the year, and now to make it a little bit bigger event for 2010.

I guess I have my first run in for 2009, and it wasn't anything more than a fun run, but now I can start working on the longer distances and everything.

Have a great new year!!!!!

200 yard indoor pool swim, then they changed in the locker room and ran a 2 mile outside course that is pretty darn flat. If it was an outdoor swim it would have been an 200 yard ice skate then a two mile run.

Hmmm......There's an idea for a winter Sprint Triathlon

750 meter Snow Shoe, 18 miles Cros Country Ski, and 5K Ice Skate

wouldn't T1 and T2 be interesting??

I am pretty sure I would be last in that event. I have never cross country ski'd and I haven't had on ice skates for probably 30 years. Roller skates yes, ice skates no.
