HRM programs for bike/tri training
Hi there -
I'm a new triathelete and doingmy first tri (olympic distance) in 10 weeks. I've done two marathons this year using a HRM based program. I loved it and I am planning to use my HRM for bike training for the tri. What I can't figure out is what should I use as a target zone. Seems like when I ride I go right through my normal target zone (70%-80%) and end up spending most of the ride at the 80%-90% range.
Do I need to just slow down and build my base or should I set a higher target zone for the bike ride?
Also - anyone know of any websites with HRM based training programs
Thanks
