Knee pain and tri bike position

I have pretty bad knees but can still run(slowly) . I ride road bike and spin quite a bit. I keep my seat ack so my body is not very far over the pedals. I would like to try a tri bike and am concerned that I would be over the pedals more and cause more knee involvement. Any yhoughts would be appreciated.

i dont think it will effect you that much, if you can run you can bike. bikes have little to no real impact on your knees. (im coming off of a knee injury and could barely walk, but did alot of bike racing and was absolutely fine.) and just try it on your current bike, just rammed your seat forward an ass load and see if it hurts.
