Urgent Newby Help Please

I recently talked a guy down to $250 for my first triathlon bike, but I am always unsure what a bike is really worth, and I will be meeting him later tonight to finalize the deal.

The listing is here: https://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/bik/2351247184.html

Can someone give their best estimate of what this bike is really worth?

Thank you so much in advance.

SO basically you are saying that spending 250 that bike would be an imensily poor investment? Any particular reason it is a poor bike to buy?

Very Poor pics....one thing...trying to hide something?

Just saw his other pics...needs new tires...Not a race bike.

city commuting, sidewalk, light trail riding

You want a race bike.

I have to agree. This is an old bike with downtube shifters, old components, hybrid-like tires. I wouldn't go higher than $40 for it.

Dime a dozen 15+ year old Raleigh. Looks to me like this was originally a 26" hybrid-ish bike. Absolutely not worth even $100.
