Nutrition during an Ironman

I am currently just a runner and know what fuel it takes to run a marathon but can someone give me a basic or generic rundown of what fuel/nutrition is required for a 140.6?

If you have run a marathon you already have a good understanding (hopefully) of your sweat rate and therefore what you need to stay hydrated, also what digestive issues you have under race conditions.
Because the bike does not pound/jiggle you like the run does, you can consume more callories/hour in a combination of solid/gell/liquid. I find I can deal with only about 250 calories/hr while running long (2 gells and maybe a cup of coke as a bonus) in contrast I can take on 350-400/hr while riding. I'm riding the 112 about 5-10 bpm less than running 26.2, that is a factor also.
Try swimming and eating at the same time and let me know how it goes... not tried it myself
