Would a 50cm Fuji be too small for me?
Hi everyone,
Ive been riding road bike for several years now. Avg 20-45 miles a ride, 3 rides a week.
I'm thinking about getting a TT bike, more specifically because my friend is selling his 2010 FUJI D6 for an unbelievable price because hes injured and can no longer ride. But the thing is, im quite concerned about the size because i'm 5'6, inseam 29' and riding a 2005 Giant TCR advanced 54cm.
Should i get it? or should i not? is there anyway i can make it suitable/ridable for me by changing longer seatpost ?
Thanks for all the help !and sorry i can't find all the answers on google

54cm with a 29" inseam********** That just seems a little on the large side. Take the measurements from the TCR and duplicate on the D6 then test ride. Might be OK. Good luck.

I have a 29" inseam and ride 48cm or 50cm. Overall reach and top tube length are said by many to be more important measures of fit. Seems to me that this is even more so for something with as aggressive a position as a TT bike.

@OldTryGuy: yea i guess everything will be cleared out just as i try the new bike; sorry quite new to TT and just wondering what aspect would considered as not suitable for me? since TTs are much lower in position. Can-my-legs-fully-stretched be a good point to consider? Thanks!
@awfulwaffle : i was thinknig of that too, if that's really 50cm then it is indeed a very aggresive position. i guess ill just have to go try it out at the place and see. Thanks!
