Experience with multi-sport watches paired to cadence sensors?
Getting into triathlons and looking at the Garmin or Polar units along with Cadence sensors. Specifically the Garmin Forerunner 910XT or Polar V800. Wondering which would be my best option.

I don't have either watch, but I'll chime in since no one else has.
I have the Garmin Fenix 2 - I bought it a little less than a year ago, and it has been perfect. As for pairing to sensors - it's paired to everything I've asked it to via both ANT+ and BlueTooth. That being said; my experience with Polar products in General has been positive.
My recommendation would be to read DCRainMakers reviews (just google DCRainmaker and the product name), and use those to make your decisions - they're the best reviews I've found so far.

Got lucky and found a new in box 910XT with full triathlon bundle for $350 shipped. Should be here in a week... Decided the BT smart phone capabilities of the new 920 weren't worth the premium price increase.

I've had the 910XT for 2 years and find it adequate for for all my needs. Going out for the Celebration Marathon in 1 hour with it. Did Disney's Marathon Weekend Dopey 2 weeks ago with a following 1/2 marathon on Monday morning before getting on the Dream cruise ship then a 10K on Tuesday while at sea and driving the 910XT crazy because of the ships movement. Had to set distance by laps instead of miles going around the deck, Finished with a 5K on Castaway Cay on Wednesday then 9 more miles between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday just to get 80 in 8 days. Most I've ever done. Swam with it while at Castaway Cay and it was flawless just like in my triathlons.

I may be a bit late on this but you can find the 920xt now for $380, which essentially is a free upgrade if you got the 910 for $350.
