Shiver me timbers! The wind was honking steadily from all compass points.
Dunes, allmost made a deposit and I think I found Chipcoms' secret hide out!

A bag blew across the road into me,so I removed the road hazard.
I happily rolled 104 miles in some eight odd hours at 10mph.
I credit zip-off nylon pants, zip sleeve jacket and pro level road shoes.

Local guys showing why the CCRT is cool. Mostly flat and lined with trees!
I won't come back this way until September when the crowds are gone.
Allmost forgot the obligatory lobster roll.!

I rolled along a single lane twisty coast road dotted with 200' puffer hills. (Route 6A)
Amazingly, I had the road to myself 96% of the ride. Great to hear the sound of the
Big Apples just rolling along. A day later and I feel fine.
More than one friend had remarked they saw me "chugging along"'
The little engine that could?
I was going for "rickshaw" or Rick Shaw. After doing a ride like yesterday I'm
thinking differently... cool

Just finished a 30 miler at the local state park, Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons.
Local kids are in school, cool weather, no bugs and my go to spots are fairly empty.
Next 3 days should be rain days and I can clear my conscience by cleaning out the
punch list around the house. I want to keep the new look the BD has for now.
I'll clear the BD buy on my charge card then order the wide loaders.
Ready to take it to the next level.

Edit: The Cape ride was a 12 hour day. 10 hours spent in the saddle.
I reset my computer 2 hours into the ride to clear past 2 days mileage.
Adding map miles to total out the sally forth.
DawnPtl. I'll try to keep a camera handy as pics are more eloquent.
Off to work!!

Why!? Don't you have a regular bike? Were you transporting something or deadheading (both ways, haha)? I think you're batty, Bat22. I mean that in a good way. Great pictures. Congrats on an epic ride, thanks for sharing.

If I planned to do a century I would have brought my road bike. I'm glad I didn;t
I couldn't believe how sparse traffic, good weather and fat tires could be so much fun!
Didn't feel epic, just felt like a great ride. I've done a couple of dozen 40 milers before hand.
jgsatll that lobster roll cost seventeen dollars! I didn't mind the lobster part of the celebration.

What kinda saddle you got that makes 100mi on a Dummy feel like a Sunday cruise? Looks like some kind of Brooks. Lotta lobster there, worth every penny I think. It's important to replace the cholesterol your body loses on a ride that long.

Selle Anatomica saddle. I swapped it off another bike and it seems to be doing ok.
Cruiser style size and handles bumps pretty well.

Lucky Dog! We were just down in Brewster and Nauset this past week-end for my son's soccer team.
I was disappointed in myself for not bringing the bike. I'm planning on it for next year!

I used the saddle on my 3 season commuter. It worked great. The saddle horn
was bit long and sometimes snag my nylon shorts on dismount. Works a lot
better on the BD! WallDog, the day after my ride a Whale had washed up
on one of the beaches!
