Trailer hitch designs
Has anyone done a comparison of commercial designs or made some good ones.
I want to make a trailer but the advice here is all mixed up so I want to create separate threads for hitch, geometry, construction etc.
How do the different hitch positions affect handling
Are some stronger than others.
Are there any "industry standard" designs
Are some hitches better for some applications?

I have 2 elastomer type hitches on 2 wheel trailers , Burly has a hole in it .
chariot/carry freedom is a ball end the hitch
uses a pin to hold the ball in place in a socket, so moves in more directions , + the elastomer flex.
Bike Friday uses an industrial air tool hose Quick disconnect fitting as their hitch + a piece of hose.

Been studying my options for trailer hitch to connect two trailers together. Having a condensed thread on this subject is great.
