Trek Transport

I have heard conflicting comments about the bike (after searching the net for quite some time). I found this one, which included a video, rather informative:

I have heard that the rear rack rattles, which would make sense considering its folding design. I have also heard the low BB makes dropping off a curb all but impossible.

Is there anything I should be aware of before I sell off two of my bicycles to help cover the cost of this sweet bike?

I really like the overall look of it, I like how the racks fold, I just like the bike.

It is a special order item, so I want to make sure I know what I'm getting into before hand.

Plans for it if/when I get one are:
Rear fender
Avid BB5 rear brake upgrade (or just put BB7's on there)
SRAM triggers to replace the Shimano ones (if I can do that)
And possibly a spare bag

So please, educate me on the strengths and shortcomings of this bike.
