Boda Boda
pretty sure I need one of these. after dumping half my golf bag on the mup a few weeks ago I'm not in love with the bike trailer anymore. I'm a big fan of being able to carry someone also, which would never happen on the graduate.
Thoughts?

I say buy one and do a review for us. Looks great and I just noticed that very serious looking kickstand. Much beefier than what came with my Xtracycle. I guess the decision you need to make is do you have the need and/or the storage for one of the bigger cargo bikes or is a smaller one more logical for your situation.

I definitely want one of these. I'm just waiting for confirmation that it is bus/Amtrak compatible. That's my only complaint about my beloved Ute. I can't take it out of town with me.

Did you peeps see the new website, it has the specs too, and some of the accessories listed . I'm totally in love with this bike and was really, really lucky- I won one! (WOW- still haven't recovered!)

Anyway- I was excited to see two sizes, lg is step over with green frame, Sm is step through with green or white frame. I can't decide which one to adopt- love them! Can't wait to do a comparison along side my Mundo (husband is adopting my Mundo now- he's really happy!)

lol well it will feel like a feather compared to my bikes 55lb! I think a lot of those cruiser/townie type bikes weigh round 25-30lb? Like the classic dutch bikes- they look heavy- but either way for as much weight as it will carry I will be happy! I think its 220lb or so on the rear rack, another 40 in a basket up front and more on the "love handles" - plus rider.

My brother and his wife have been to Kenya a couple of times on humanitarian missions. He tells me boda boda is what any utility bicycle is called there whether it is used to haul cargo or passengers.
I guess that's where they got the name.

I will certainly do a review and a comparison to my Mundo, but I'm not a very technical person, I just know what I personally like/don't like. My current saddle is one of those huge oversized gel filled "cloud 9" saddles, so the Boda one may not be much of a change. According to Joe at Joe Bikes (who reviewed it) he said he'd replace the saddle as it was too springy.
