    Wicker baskets?

Greetings. Hope this goes into the correct forum (there's so many!)

I'm looking for recommendations for anywhere selling good quality wicker baskets on behalf of my wife. She has a dutch bike which she bought from the site i've linked to, but needs some storage space. Those lot actually sell baskets on their 'accessories' page but if there's a place widely regarded as making really good quality ones I wouldn't mind checking them out.

    Cheers.

For wicker baskets in your country Google is your friend so get busy.....
My preferred bicycle brand is.......WORKSMAN CYCLES
I dislike clipless pedals on any city bike since I feel they are unsafe.

Exactely. you should start in your own country to get less shipping tax added. Personally I would try to mount it lower than the one in the picture, and I would look for a square one. You can find great racks for such baskets. Think I remember somebody calling it a bakes or a butchers basket. Had a lid.

David Hembrow seems to be trying to get out of the basket business, I think part of it is that he is having trouble sourcing the willow he prefers to use, but he still lists
a few "stock" baskets on his site, and might be persuaded to make a special if you were able to charm him.

I find second hand thrift shops to be a near endless source of wicker baskets. I would say %20 of the time I get something really well made, maybe by hand, out of nice high quality wood. %30 of the time I find something of good quality- not great, but certainly useable. %50 of the time I pass on baskets that are made well enough but maybe dont fit my exact requirements in regards to shape- I find many that would work on a rear rack, but one with a long narrow profile is what I like to hang from my bars.
