Front Rack: Tall Bike
I've been using a cetmacargo 5-rail rack on the front of one of my bikes, along with a rear rack, and have found it immensely useful. I've carried small children, 50# sacks of flour, piles of boxes, and various other loads, and really like the wide platform. However, the bike that the rack was on didn't have as much clearance as I wanted, and I found studded tires a tight fit in the winter, so I switched most of the parts to a different frame with a little more clearance.
So far so good, but the geometry of the new frame was different from the that of the old, so I was more stretched out and lower than I wanted. I switched stems to bring the bars closer and higher, and now the rack simply won't fit.
Do any of you have any clever ways to solve this problem? Should I e-mail Lane Cagay and ask if he can make me longer struts? That would make the rack higher, but would work. What about the velo-orange porteur rack? Can it be used with cantilever brakes, and will it be as heavy duty? What about the Wald Giant basket? Would it fit on a bicycle this tall, and would it be as versatile as a wide flat rack? Or should I start saving up for a real cargo bike? I saw a Yuba Mundo in a nearby shop, and I suspect I could test ride a Surly or Madsen, although it would be a longer trip. Any thoughts?

you got an answer from Lane K what was wrong with that?
perhaps have another rack fabricated for your new need,
sell the other one to someone with a bike setup like you show..
maybe you need to consult with someone in the same room with you?
go to a shop with that Wald basket and try it ..

Lane says on his site that he can make racks for a taller bike, at no extra charge. However, he's moving his shop, and I'd really rather not wait for him to move and then make the rack, since I've gotten to rely on it.

Would love to help, but have never used either of those racks before (mine is only rated for 40 lbs, which does the job for me).
