Why is my tralier so bad on a loose surface?

Hello,
My single wheel trailer is very good on a hard surface, hardly know its there:).However, when i go over the edge of the beach,on loose pebbles, shingle etc it drags so bad it might as well take the wheel out.Any solutions? It has a 16 inch wheel with a tyre width of 1.75.
thanks.

I would guess that the tire is narrow and digging a furrow for you. I only have one single wheel trailer, but have never used it on soft surfaces. I know better than to take my two wheeled trailers on soft stuff.

Aaron :)

BoB trailers get used on single tracks and folks here use them in the woods, hunting ..

You may have expectation only satisfied with a large wheel trailer, like Extrawheel, with panniers on it.

I agree,my trailer is very similar to a Bob.OK on any surface but the loose stones.

The Why is a perception issue , Avoid the route if its un-comforting to take..

others seem fine with them , they make a suspension wheel BoB, too,
for even rougher trails..

Extra wheel trailers are available , they seem well designed, made in Poland..

(it's more than a drive through on the way to Moscow .. )

You might need an even wider tire with low air pressure. Or like others suggested change to an extrawheel trailer.
