Slapped this together one weekend and have been hauling my granddaughters all over town. Three at a time and they absolutely love it. Can't drive them anywhere, they want to take the cargo bike.http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=342092

That was before armrests and kick stand. Here's what it looks like after paint and cushions.

Sweet! You're talented.

You know I'd consider replacing the rightangled "armrest" with a curved one - or at least pad it heavily. Wouldn't want it poking kids in the ribs in the unlikely event of you all falling off.

Very cool.

It might be wise to put up some kind of guardrail on the left side. Don't want anyone spilling into the street.

Maybe you should put some sort of Seat-Belts in? I see nowadays, even the shopping carts have seat belts for the child seat.

Wow! That's awesome, man. Nice job.

You do good work!

Wonderful idea and great worksmanship. It means more coming from Noglider though.

Please show us some photos of the steering details !!!!

And what size tube did you use for the bottom?

"Slapped" it together?! Wow. Did you design it yourself?

Looks like fun.

Rexer12 01-07-14 07:46 PM

Kinda adapted Tom's design from tomscargobikes.com . Bottom tube is actually a rectangle 1x2" . I just cut and welded it instead of bending it. Tubing benders are kinda pricey. If I make another I will use round tubing and have someone bend it for me. The way the steering is I have very little ground clearance. The steering tube needs to be at 90 degrees to the bottom tube to get the best clearance. It's nine feet overall and I could lose a foot and a half and still have enough room.

other builders linkage to the fork crown.. thatmay be able to keep the con rod higher.

Maybe you should put some sort of Seat-Belts in?
Gene Rodenberry never put seatbelts in the starship Enterprise (or Voyager)..

[mandatory helmets on under 16 is the law in Oregon]
