foot rests for kiddo - Trek Transport. DIY idea here.
I've noticed people post from time to time re: hauling kids on a Trek Transport.
I usually haul my cargo in 5 gallon buckets sitting on the wide loaders and bungeed to the bike. Not using the factory bags means you can easily mount some foot rests for a kid. The cargo deck bears most of the kids weight, they just need somewhere to plant their feet so their legs aren't hanging off the side.
Some Simpson Strong Tie L brackets, hardware, a cheapo Home Depot door mat, and some spray adhesive and you are in business.
I'll probably cover the remainder of the L brackets with some of the leftover carpet tomorrow just to cover any sharp edges.
Anyway, for now:
