"New" bike rack

A security guard stopped me.

"Did you they are installing a bike rack in the garage?" he asked me.

Sure enough, a week or so later, I saw it. The bike rack was in the covered garage, guarded at the only entrance by security guards.

Not only that, there was a pretty deep-blue Cannondale parked in it.

I have to leave a note on that bike. For about 10 years, I thought I was the only bike commuter at all.

Well, I guess I have no more excuse to park my bike at my desk, anymore.

certain people at the front dest used to give me crap about bringing the bike upstairs instead of leaving it on the rack. I just say, "I have permission to bring it up" and they shut up. I don't trust the security morons to guard anything,...

I am car free so my road bike goes with me everywhere. (Giant OCR C0) Every once in while a restaurant won't allow me to bring my bike in with me. It seems to be rather arbitrary and capricious, rather than set policy by the various establishments. Some restaurants will or will not let me in depending on which manager is on duty!
I think that their thinking is this: This is unusual and out of the ordinary, therefor it must not be allowed. To those who say I can't bring my bike inside, I tell them I'm not coming in without it. They always reply that the bike can't come in. "Wow, what a great business you have!" I say, "You are doing so well you can turn customers away at the door!"
Then I go to the restaurant next door or across the street, take my bike in and enjoy a meal.
