Sticking to my original post, vehicular cyclists can pass lines of slowed traffic on either right or left.

vehicular cycling is not limited by tired edict 'never on the right.' Vehicular cyclists can pass slower traffic in a shoulder, bike lane or wide lane and still be vehicular cycling.

When traffic is stopped I generally stay in line as I believe that motorists don't expect to be passed on the inside and passing on the outside would involve cutting back across traffic. I never go on the inside of large vehicles like buses or trucks. I don't understand the need of cyclists to go to the head of the line.

you may not want to, nun, but it would still be vehicular if you did.

if that's the way traffic flows on the road (sometimes guided by lines of paint), It's VEHICULAR!
