Commuting from South Richmond to Central Burnaby

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out a good cycling route from South Richmond (e.g. Steveston Highway and Highway 99) to central Burnaby (e.g. Wellington and Grandview Highway)? My plan is to take the Canada Line bridge across the fraser river and then head into burnaby from there- taking the Knight Street bridge seems like a terrible idea. There are a few options once I get into Vancouver, but I was thinking about taking Cambie up to 41st, across 41st to Joyce, Joyce to Boundary, Boundary up. Or Cambie to 33rd and then across to Slocan. And then up to Hebb?

Can anyone let me know what roads are good for riding on in those areas? Is Wellingdon good to ride on?

Thanks
