Cycling tights fit

BF,

DO cycling tights fit the same as bib shorts or as regular cycling shorts?

I purchased some tights ( bib tights and pant tights) from the same manufacturers as the shorts/bib shorts I have and find the chamois is shifted forward in the same size. I find my sit bones do not line up with the same pads that are fine in the same manufacturer's shorts?

Is this common?

Will the windproofing material cause this?

should I go up/down a size or what?

Has this happened to you?

Whose tights are good for deep winter and have a larger/longer chamois that wraps around the back more?

thanks

Frank

Sounds like typical textile margins of error to me. I've had that happen with jeans before, same size, same manufacturer, but different model, and one is larger/shorter than the other.

To help solve the chamois problem you are having, I wear good-fitting chamois shorts under non-chamois tights/bib tights.

I have purchased multiple pairs and they are all the same. IF a company is notorious for misplacing a chamois, I would expect to see it posted but none of the reviews indicate this. I have also purchased different models from the same company and they all line up amongst the various tights as well.

Doesn't seem to be an error in manufacturing
