I suppose you could ask the same about World Naked Bike Day!

I originally wondered if it was timed to coincide with the Winter Cycling Congress (or visa versa) but no, the WCC2016 was Feb 2-4 of this year.

Depends on weather. If it's above 0, I'm going for it! Wanted to today, but was -16 when I got up. I don't have the gear for that kind of cold!

Are you referring to @MichaelW's suggestion for combining World Naked Bike Day and World Winter Ride your Bike to Work Day? If so, no gear is required (ok, good gloves, hat and boots).

I honestly just meant World winter Ride your bike to work day. I don't think my boss would take too kindly to me riding in naked

Committed! This is a great idea, I'll be sure to spread it around. Riding in winter isn't that hard once you learn the basics, hopefully this will inspire some people to try it out!

Bah. 52 mile round trip, temps in the negative single digits tomorrow morning. I'll admit it. I'm a fair weather bike commuter.

Good morning everyone. 40 minutes of slow riding in -18C/0F. It was fun.

However, I'm glad it was today, this weekend promises lows of -32C/-26F and highs of -21C/-6F.

The hard part was not my usual commute, but remembering to take a photo for the occasion.

It is made by CTR but I bought it at Winners so it is not likely a current model. Yes, it does have holes in the front but when I'm huffing and puffing up a hill, more air is forced out the top just below my eyes than through the holes.

I guess it is the same as the current Glacier MTP other than the colour pattern. Glacier MTP ? Chaos Headwear / CTR

Yep, with an Axiom Fatliner rack and a few other things. My usual winter commuter is a rigid 26" MTB with studded tires, but our roads are so rough right now that I switched to the fat bike until it's warm enough for the graders to run. The fat bike adds about 10 minutes to my 35-minute commute.

I have put in three 5 km rides with my dogs today ,1:30 am @-22 ,9:30 am@-20 ,and just came back at 2:00 @-20 all with just a jacket and cowboy hat on my single speed fat bike .Unfortunately ,I am retired so unless running my dogs counts as "work" ,I can't get in on the fun .

Pic to follow (I still have to take it!), but yeah, did it again today (usually on days I am not x-c skiing with the club): - 26C/-15F this morning, light wind, a bit of fresh snow onto my favorite snowmobile trail. 27 min fatbike commute (5 km'ish). Too much air pressure in the tires, and dead legs from too many kick laps in the pool this morning - that is why I didn't get home to eat at lunch - !

I biked, but I always bike.

I think it was 7 with a wind chill of -10 most of the day. Headwind in the morning and for a little bit on the way home.

Rode the cruiser in today. My winter bike got sabotaged by my now ex-roommate. I'll post pics once I can figure out how to minimize the size
