If the weather these days is any indication, it may be quite chilly and rainy. Come prepared!

And thanks for the offer! Hopefully those will do the trick, or if not I have my eye on some others from CRC. We get free shipping from the UK, but if we were ordering from the US we might have taken you up on your offer ... stuff coming from the US is expensive.

If we were still in Victoria, we might have been able to meet in person ... how long will you be in Australia?
I have worn them twice now ... once on a chilly 80 km ride and once on a chilly 100 km ride.

I like them ... they're comfortable, but I am getting a bit of a draft in around my ankles which then makes my toes cold. So I'm looking for solutions to that.

Neos cost almost as much as a pair of hiking boots on sale. I wear winter hiking boots I purchased on a sale for $57CAD in February. Before that I was wearing summer hiking boots with wool socks.

LL Bean Snow Sneakers. Can't clip in with them, but for me I use spiked platforms in the winter.

+ 1. For real cold weather, nothing beats bmx style platform pedals and real winter boots. My guess is that this is an area where people who live in really cold weather probably will tend to choose winter boots whereas those who live in more temperate climates might choose an insulated cycling shoe and/or neoprene booties.
