It's Fall now ... who has snow and sub-freezing temps?
Just wondering who has started experiencing winter conditions now that it is officially fall?
We've had three days of sub-freezing temps recently, and just west and north of us has had a foot of snow. It has probably melted by now, but it sure looked great on the mountains ... and rather alarming in the foothills.
It's only the beginning!!
How about you?

We had gorgeous sunshine for the fall flanlander 200k brevet in Vancouver
Arm warmers for the 7:00 am start, then short sleeve jersey and cycle shorts for the day. I even got a tan out of it

Gonna be 7C in the morning here in Montreal but it will warn up to 16. I like the fall days with cool mornings. Off for a 150km ride in the early am.

It's been normal here for this time of year, 50 - 70 deg F with 35 - 45 deg F lows at night. Mornings tend to be 40-45 deg F at sunrise, so it's not winter, yet.

It's beautiful here in the Northeast U.S. Temps reached the lower 80's yesterday and supposed to be seasonal in the lower 70's all week...just gorgeous!

Just a couple of early AM rides here in the freezing zone with snow up on the peaks. Last night it was 39F with a tailwind of 20mph+ that was fun I say bring on those sub-zero temps I need to try out my new Louis Garneau winter booties.

Not really close yet, same as Portis, actually. We've had one low under 45F (7C). No snow expected here until mid-November or so.

Yep, it's that time of year again . Hopefully we'll get lucky (and we usually do in Calgary) and have a long fall... It doesn't get really bad here till feb.
Though these +2 mornings have been stopping my morning commute to school I feel guilty every time I pull up in the parking lot!

So tell me, just why would someone willingly live in Canada?
I can barely stand the winters in south Jersey. It isn't so much the cold temps, which I do hate, but the lack of sunlight. It is really annoying to get up in the dark, go to work inside all day, and then come home in the dark.

29 F this morning. The snow is creeping down the mountians. I just pulled the slicks off the commuter bike and have hung all but one road bike. The locals are preparing for the annual Columbus Day (Thanksgiving for the Canadians) blizzard.

Snow in the Mountains
Just had our first frost. It's been a gorgeous September. Went for a quick 36 mile ride w/ my wife. Ice on the bridges and moose everywhere. Cool!
