Had fun on the Pug today... rode to the co-op and hung out with the winter riders support group, turned some wrenches, and drank my fair share of coffee.
Pug has been amazing on the snow with 12 psi in the tyres and let Tuck take the bike for a spin...
Yours truly...

.
My 3 season crappy wintry weather ride...with recently acquired Marathons (HS420) and Beaver Tail fenders. I have some home made studded tires I'm going to try, but may break down and get some Nokians anyway...

No change from the last few years. Just waiting for more snow and frozen temps.

Wanna trade weather ?
Has been nice to be squirreled away in the frame shop while it has been rather cold... the Pug has been keeping me company as I sort out the details for the custom racks I am building and is of course needed so I can test the fit of things.
The shop is in the country so there are lots of trails to ride there when I need a break from wielding the torch and the snowmobile tracks make a great road in the snow.

Lots of fat bike love in here!
I recently bought a set of 26"x1.9" Nokian W160 Mount & Grounds for my fixed-gear. I like them over the 26"x2.1" Kenda Klondikes I ran last year as they roll better (so much better that I'm considering bumping up the gearing from 58" to 61") and leave enough room to keep the fenders on:

Maybe we'll even get more than a couple days of snow this winter.

Yeah, I know. I hate when websites think they're smarter than you. Working on it.

Doing it single speed this year, used an 60's or so twin top tube murray and stretched the rear to fit 135 hub, enough room to run a skinny knobbie with fender out back and fender and knobbie or my stud up front. Gonna run bar end levers and wrap most the bars, the seat will go as soon as I get a new one. So far Boise has way warm weather so i'm in no hurry to finish (was 62f today)
