Which Tubulars? Cyclocross?

I need some road training tubulars for northern Indiana that's sometimes clear, sometimes icy. I'm thinking maybe Tufo's Cyclocross Diamond D28? Looks like there's just enough width clearance on my road frame for 28mm tires. I'm guessing they'll glue up okay on 19mm wide Velocity Escape rims??

What do you think? Any other recommendations for winter tubulars?

Cheers! - RJ
