Pogies vs. Overmitts ?

I bought these wool mittens a few weeks ago:

http://campmor.stores.yahoo.net/40241.html

I like them, but my fingers get number after 20 minutes in temps below 25 F. So how about overmitts like these on: The price seems right:

Will the combination of this and my wool mitts get me down to 0 F? I have read pogies are good, but seems like they cost $30-40 and I can not use them for non-biking activities like skiiing ?
