    Winter grease?

Does anyone have any recommendations for hub/bb grease that will not thicken up into gel when it gets really cold? I'm using Rock n' Roll (red) now, and it gets so thick when it's cold I can feel the resistance.

I've been using a tube of what's sold as garage door opener grease. It's a white lubricant that comes in a plastic tube. Since it's not right in front of me now, I can't give much more on the details, but it claims to be consistent to ridiculously low temperatures, like -50(F). No complaints so far, but what does "cold" really mean to you? I haven't been out in temperatures lower than 19(F) so far this winter.

Panef automatic garage door opener grease

I went to the garage to have a look and it's Panef automatic garage door opener grease. And yes, it says maintains consistent viscosity to -50F.

The garage door grease sounds pretty good. I bought some lubricplate grease for assembling an auto engine. Get it at an auto parts store. It is a lite white grease similar to what Schwinn sold for bearings back about 35 years ago. It comes in a tube and is not expensive.
