Iditarod Invitational is ROLLING

I can't believe nobody has posted on this yet. It's one of the toughest winter bike/ human power race around, following the famous Iditarod trail a month before the hunds do it. These folks are the toughest of all the winter bike riders, traveling in conditions so rough most people can barely comprehend it. It includes intense winds, deep artic cold, horrible trails, deep snow, blizzards, and enough man hauling to make Scott of the Antarctic blanch. But thanks to these folks we get better and better winter riding equipment and bike designs. Rock on!

Pete Basinger, as usual, never ceases to amaze. Caught back up to the leaders after being stalled nearly 12 hours because of a broken pedal.

Jill Homer's blog is an excellent read. I heard about her on NPR a few months back. I've been following the race religiously since Sunday. Sure looks beautiful up there.

Great links. I just like looking at bikes with monster tires. That Ti Moots is da bomb.
