socks
i would like to find some socks that are long enough to reach up to the bottom of my knickers....about 2/3 the way up my calf
have plenty of long hiking/fishing socks but they are way to thick...must be thin to fit in my shoes
would like wool and something other than black
any suggestions

Try the local army/navy surplus store. I've got socks that cover the calf for $6/pr.
