Cycling tights--good for winter running too?
I'm currently in the market for some insulating tights to run in when it's cold outside (<45 degrees) and I know Underarmor has some "coldgear" tights for that purpose, but those run $50. I've been looking online at the sales at Nashbar/Performance and there are lots of cycling tights to be had for $25. Are these essentially the same thing, and will they provide good insulation for cold weather running?
Another question, how do I make sure I don't have a padded ass? What does it mean if it says it has chamois?
Thanks!

The Adventure tight has zippered ankles, the Century does not.

I use SportHill XC 3SP Pants. They run $100. But you can find then elsewhere cheaper. I got them for $46 at Sierra Trading Post. Campmor has them also. These are my #1 Winter cycling pants. They are comfortable down to the 'teens'. Anything lower and you might have to add a baselayer. Cabelas has good PolarFleece also.
