Electric foot warmer

Has anyone tried an electric foot warmer. On my cold rides in everything is toasty except my toes, which are usually numb by time I get here. I found this link for an electric footpad, was wondering if anyone has tried anything like this. https://xray.bmc.uu.se/markh/cam_trig/toesties.html

Never mind. I tried the newspaper method this morning, worked great.
