wintery hats help

i need a winter hat with earflaps or some other ear warming device. i found a company, little package, who makes custom wool hats for 45 bucks. im wondering if thats the going price for a nice winter hat or if there are other brands that may make nice hats for less money.

Good wool isn't cheap but, it works extremely well. Ibex, Smartwool, Icebreaker, etc all make wool headgear. So does Swobo, and I like their wool beanie as it is more cycling specific. Joneswares also has a wool thing or two for the head, is competitive with pricing and, is a first rate company.

Having said this, $45 for a custom made wool hat is not bad at all.
