Made up a reason to go riding in the snow

No work today. No kids today. Cold and snowy. Good day to hole up and get some things done.

Instead I made up some silly errands to run around town so that I could be out in it. I think I may have been normal before I discovered studded tires.

^^^ I went in to work 2 hours late the other day just so more snow could pile up. I'm pretty sure we've got the same thing, whatever it is.

And, I am going to strap on enough lights to be mistaken for a UFO and go back out tonight. I was last seen wearing a blue jacket in case they have trouble finding my body, btw.

I think you just came up with a classic line. Nothing could be more true. Nothing beats the child-like fun a person can have riding a bicycle on a snowy day or night.

My favorite activity is riding on frozen (shallow!) ponds and swamps. I live in an area where there are miles of wetlands. When they freeze over I can easily spend hours cutting figure 8's on some backwater swamp.

I'll work on that, but it may take some time.
I can see snapping turtles under the ice.

I went to the grocery store on the other end of town today, just so I could get in some more icy miles, =)

Sorry, don't own a camera.

This thread just inspired me to ride to the Tim Horton's down the street for some chili, at 11:30pm and during a snow storm. It was fun.

This thread is awesome! At about 4:00 AM local time, I re-discovered the sheer bliss of being the first to plow through a virgin field. Yea, it's nice!
