in need of HUGE shoe covers. help please

I am in desperate need of a pair of shoe covers. The rest of my winter cycling wardrobe is adequate enough to get me riding in 20-25 degree weather. All i'm missing is something for my feet.

My feet start to get cold around 35-40 degrees so i would like something that could keep them warm down to maybe 20 or 25, but not anything really crazy cold.

The trouble has been finding something that even remotely fits. I wear a 49 sidi genius road shoe. I recently picked up a pair or size XXL Pearl Izumi cyclone shoe covers from the LBS. I'm not sure about the sizing chart for these but I've heard to order a size bigger than you need. While anyway, they are extremely tight and i can't get them zipped up in the back and therefore will be returning them.

I have a real problem now. I miss my bike and want to get out there and ride, there's no snow right now so nothing is stopping me. Can anyone recommend anything that you think might work.

Thanks

You could try these ones from Mec. They are not really intended for warmth, but they do block the wind and I've found them to help retain heat and my feet are warmer wearing them. The XXL is supposed to fit size 15 so they would fit, and they velcro at the back so there is some extra adjustment room.

I wear a size 51 Sidi Genius. I cover these with a pair of size 14 Performance Bike Neoprene Booties. I have to stretch them a little bit while putting them on, but they fit and work fine for me. It looks like they're on sale at the moment:

I've been using these shoe covers from Taiga:https://www.taigaworks.ca/cart.php?m...ct_detail&p=65. The XL is pretty roomy over my size 48 Lake mb shoes. They're warm too. Last morning last week, the low on my commute was about 5 degrees, but my feet stayed warm with a pair of liner socks, thicker socks and the taigas over my shoes.
