Full Face Helmet for Winter?

Starting to think about the winter commute. This will be my first winter in a while. I do two types of riding, commute to work and a little freeride. I own a full face helmet for the freeriding. Pros and cons on using it for winter commuting?

Pros - It seems to be pretty warm.
Cons - Would it limit vision and hearing too much?

Suggestions, comments?

A ski helmet works best.It doesn't limit your vision or hearing do to the ear holes that are cut out of it. I use one for my commute when it's real cold.

But thats what I think?

I think if you ride very hard, it will only take one ride to find out the full face helmet is WAY too hot.

Wow, what a great idea. That would make it much easier to put on, and take off my ski mask!

Seems a bit excessive to me, especially temperature-wise. But whatever floats your boat...
