Ah... back in the Winter Cycling forum!

Hi all :)

I managed to stay out of this forum, not to say, I don't like it or anything ;) but after few days of cold weather it was 55F yesterday in NYC!!! It was 20F this morning, talk about temperature drop... frozen sludge, lots of ice this morning so I put my studded tires on. I guess, that means I'm a Winter Cyclist now again :D Although, few other people managed on regular tires, but I saw lots of skidmarks on the Williamsburg Bridge bicycle lane.

We had a similar extreme change in temperature in upstate NY Adam. I don't have studded tires but I still commute.

A bit of ice led to a slower pace for my commute on Long Island today- no studs. The wool long johns were an added bonus!

Winter was a little slow in getting here this year... it is making up for it now.

Yes, indeed. I cycled to work this morning but I just might take the bus home.

30mph winds with temps in the teens made for a nice ride yesterday.

I will be doing my first snow ride of the season tonight, however, it isn't the first cold ride of the season. Gotta go get ready to go to work now.

One thing depresses me is when the weather near the North Pole is so much warmer than in the central US.
