Water Proof Gloves and Winter Boots that can clip in?
Looking to commute to work in the winter time and looking for:
1) waterproof riding gloves (would be nice to have padding on them)
2) riding boots that have cleates for SPD pedals.
Any recomendations?

I have the shimano mw80's but wanted the Sidi diablo gtx's. Both have nice high ankle straps to keep the wet out, good insulation and a price that makes your jaw drop. BUT they work and I wouldn't ride snow and slush without clipless control.
Pearl Izumi makes a decent padded glove that warms to about freezing and works to about 20. After that I use weatherproof vinyl mitten shells over them and I good until the bearings freeze up.

LET'S ROLL
1. I usually just pickup any general use winter glove.
The current pair I'm using came from Costco a few
years ago.
2. For SPD compatibility, I use Lake MXZ302 boots.
A little pricey, but worth it for me. This year will be my
3rd season wearing them.

Secnding the Lake style boots. Exustar makes some too, that are actually cheaper - MEC sells them in Canada, maybe try REI if you are in the US. I have only had my Exustars for a little while but I LOVE them! So cozy!

I have a pair of Pearl Izumi X-Alp Seek 3 WRX shoes and they work really well for cold weather commuting. They aren't really insulated but I have had good luck with them in Upstate NY winters. Once they break in they get fairly comfy for off the bike use as well. I often keep mine on while at work and I stand on my feet for 9 hours a day.
