Made-to-order Custom Winter Bike Build

Greetings from Finland-the international home of winter!
even in June you can some of the white stuff hiding behind the rocks in the shadows!!
I am working at a LBS that does made-to-order frames.
www.chebici.fi

It took 3 days to get it all sorted out-
started with measuring the client,
the client wanted a rohloff
the frame was made with the special bottom bracket shell so vertical drops can be used
carbon fork
We laced and trued the wheels with sapim stainless spokes.
shimano disc front
studded tires and plastic fenders.
A few small things to iron out
-shorten the hyd-brake cables,
-install lights and a trip computer.
-wait for clients choice of pedals

we gave it a test drive- I now appreciate the rohloff-so much easier then deraileurs, just click to the next ratio and no fumbling with the thumbshifters with your mittens on-
it was -18c today and it was a nice run around the neighborhood!

these are temporary pedals,we wait for the clients choice
reflective tires was a great invention

more pictures on Friday

What kind of eccentric bottom bracket did you use. Mine has 2 external bolts and is simple and foolproof. Some of the internal wedge designs (eg cannondale) have a rep for sticking.

it had a wedge,
Aligning the chain and the disc on a rohloff was no easy chore.

That is a great looking buildup. I built mine up on similar level with horizontal drops but decided to go with a derailer and 9spd cassette because of too many hills.

client is coming in tomorrow-I do hope he likes it.
boss liked all the black-
I would have liked to put on silver plastic fenders,
I am not a fan of a bike without any shiny bits

He wanted BIG studded 29ers,
We put them on, had to find big fenders for the clearence issue.
shame-it looked so nice as is.
