Sporthill XC pants for winter biking
I am thinking about buying the Sporthill XC pants for winter mountain biking. They seem to be windproof and softshell like. They are not meant for biking so I am curious if anyone else has used them. Do they fit ok with biking shorts underneath?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I've had a pair for a few years now and I think they are terrific. Roomy enough for cycling shorts underneath for sure, far more room that your typical lycra cycling tights, but not baggy and they are tapered at the ankle. They breathe really well and are warm. I'd say as a single layer for cycling the comfortable temp range is 45F to 10F YMMV of course. Pricing is reasonable I think for how well they perform and compared to similar offering by the bigger brands.

You can't beat Sport Hill XC pants for winter. Everything as above was mentioned. I've had two pair going on my sixth winter and look to get many more years out of them. Those are my go-to winter cycling pants. And great for running around in any cold weather environment.
I use their Symmetry jacket as my mid layer under the outer shell. Excellent cold weather clothing. Light and warm.

I like mine. Good to about 10f before I want another layer. At that point, feet become the main problem for me.

I have 3sp ATV pants and love them. Live in them most of the winter (bought a 2nd pair after falling in love - good deal at STP). Good wind blockage outside. Not too warm inside. Cut is perfect for my 34/29 160# frame. Close fit but not tight. Look more like pants than regular sweats. I still go to bib tights with layers (if needed) for long bike rides but I use these for everything else. Recommended, IMO.
