Fender clearance - suggestions wanted

Fender clearance - suggestions wanted
So, Looking for some suggestions here.
The bike I use for commuting has SKS fenders mounted. I put the snow/studded tire on the front and I cannot get the front edge of the fender to stand proud of the rotating tire and studs - so it's rubbing.
The mounting tab at the fork crown is bottomed out.
Any suggestions to get the front edge of the fender "up" ... so to speak. I have clearance all the way through on the rest of it.

Try to shorten the fit from the fork end to the bottom end of the fender. That will pull the top of the fender up.

Just reposition the mounting tab where is attaches to the fork closer to the front edge of the fender. This will pull it down some away from the tire and also give you better coverage in back to help keep all the water and whatever off your feet.

I made this little bracket partly to reinforce the fender after I cut the notches for fit in a narrow fork, but also to keep the front from bouncing up and down and hitting the tire. You can just bend the bracket to the desired angle to get tire clearance. I used chainring bolts to attach it because they have an very low profile on the bottom and give good tire clearance. You could use any bolt with a low profile head, though.
When I described this setup to a fellow at the bike co-op, he came up with an improvement for his bike and used a slotted rack stay, like the one here.
