Short legs long tights

Is anybody aware of winter tights sized like pants? Do all the rest of you have 36" inseams".

I'm short and wide. I'm a 36/30. All of the size "L" tights I've checked out are about 4-6" too long, on the more articulated the knees hang around my calves. Knee warmers roll/slide off in the first 15 minutes.

Thanks

Check out www.foxwear.net. They make custom-sized tights, rain pants, etc. You get to pick your fabrics and colors. The price is reasonable, the quality is top notch, and Lou seems to be a nice guy. I've bought rain pants and tights from them (also a vest and an ear band), and I'm probably going to order another pair of tights (lighter-weight) soon.

I run into the same problem with inseams. No problem with leg warmers, but my 3/4 length bibs are more like crop pants, and my tights end up with a wad of extra leg around the ankle and the knee not fitting properly. I've considered trying women's sizes, but figured my lack of hips would be a problem. So I live with it. Not a major deal.

Know anyone with a sewing machine? Should be easy to remake a cuff.

When you're dealing with fitted tights, ankle zippers, and knee seams, it'd require more than a simple cuff.

I bought a pair on sale at Absolute Bikes in Flagstaff last year with that in mind. I took them to every seamstress etc. and couldn't find anybody willing to even try. The structured knee and zippered ankles were total deal breakers.

In in the meantime I've been wearing some uni-sex leotards that are only slightly better than not shaving my legs.

What about some knicker length ones ?Also check out the sugoi line. No fitted knee or zippers, just regular tights, could cut off 3 inches from the bottom and sew a cuff. I have the opposite problem, at 6'4" tall and size 15 feet, tough to find stuff that fits sometimes.

I'll take a look at the Sugois. Thanks. Usually, if knicker/3/4 length would do I just use leg warmers. The tights don't come out til it gets below 40.

thanks, I will look for Sugoi. I like the fit of the shorts and bibs. The jerseys are a little too short-waisted for me though.

My bride reminded me now that we have moved to Sun City West, there will be a lot more tailors and seamstresses and surely there will be one who can modify my bargain-bin tights. The articulated knee isn't such a big deal, but I'd really like to keep the zipper ankles - my size 9EE feet may not be quite as bad as a size 15, but it isn't any fun pushing them through a tight tube.
