Most of the posters on here don't care whether you have gears or not, as long as you're not modifying the frame in any non-reversible way (ie. removing braze-ons). A nice road bike is a nice road bike, and a fixed-gear that is primarily used for road riding is still a road bike. Thus, all the qualities that make a road frame nice also make a fixed-gear road conversion nice.
