lots of great ideas for alternative mounting. i do find that, while the rubberbands hold the light tight onto the bars, the light comes out of adjustment fairly easily whenever i hit bumps in the road. to be fair, this happens to all the lights i've had thus far, but the MS seems the easiest to jolt out of adjustment.
