Hear you on the MPH / windchill. The bike in the photos is my "winter training / utility bike" (I need to give them each a purpose to justify owning 4 to the woman in the photos). It's not the same as getting out on the roadbike for some quality time, but when it gets cold and wet, it's nice to have fenders and the extra lbs. (I'm guessing it's ~35#) and rolling resistance make for a lower speed work out. Does a nice job of eating winter road potholes too.
