Well I can assure you the worst thing that can happen here (with a chain tensioner [the proper name for a "chain tug"]) is some chipped paint.

I use the redline ones, they're quite universal; the design of it doesnt stress the thickness of the fork end but the clearance of it.

Most frames can take it (including pro frames) BUT kilo tt based frames cannot take it as the fork end axle clearance is not wide enough.
